Sunbeam Electric Heated Throw Blanket
One of the best gifts I have ever received is my Sunbeam Electric Heated Throw Blanket! My brother and sister-in-law gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago. At the time, I didn’t realize how much I would come to really value the heated blanket. I have had several electric blankets for our bed, but never a throw that was heated. Let me tell you, having a heated throw blanket is truly fabulous!
Since it has multiple settings, I can choose how hot I want it to be for me to be comfortable. I use it when I am reading, when I am watching television, when I am eating dinner and when I am taking a nap on the couch.
Last year, I had the flu, which was complete with chills and fever. The only way I could get warm was with my Sunbeam heated throw blanket. When I was my sickest, that blanket comforted me. When I started feeling better, I tossed it in the washing machine to remove the germs. It washed up beautifully! You couldn’t even tell it had been washed. The colors were just as vivid and the fleece fabric felt just as soft, if not softer than before I washed it.

Of course, you don’t have to use the plug. It works fine as a unheated throw too. However, because you can still feel the wiring throughout the blanket, it isn’t the best choice for a lightweight throw if you don’t need the added heat.
It also features a 3 hr. auto shut off in case you get so comfortable that you drift off to sleep.
As I stated before, the fleece throw is machine washable and it is dryer safe. Of course, you would need to unplug the controls first. You cannot wash the hand-held control.
